About Me
Welcome.
My name is Christina, and I’m a Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years’ experience. I began my career working with children and adults affected by trauma. I started there as a student on placement and quickly realised how much I value having the privilege to work with people who are impacted by trauma. And so, I stayed there for most of my career, learning from my clients and developing my knowledge and skills in this area.

Frequently Asked Questions
You don’t need a referral to see a psychologist. You are welcome to self-refer. However, if you want to access a Medicare rebate for individual therapy, you do need a referral letter from your GP.
However, Medicare does not offer a rebate for couples therapy or adult ADHD/Autism Assessments. If you have private health cover, you may be able to get a rebate through your health fund. Check with your insurer if your policy includes these services.
You have several options:
- Click on the ‘Book an appointment’ link on the website
- Email the team at admin@bettertogetherpsychology.com.au
- Call the team on 02 4214 8089
I offer both in person and telehealth appointments.
That’s no problem at all.
All booked appointments (in person and telehealth) receive an email reminder the day before with a Zoom link. This gives you the option to switch to telehealth if your circumstances change, and you can’t attend in person. You can switch to telehealth at any time. It’s as easy as sending the team an SMS or email to let them know that you will be attending via Zoom. At the time of your appointment, just click on the link and I will meet you there.
Yes. When you first book an appointment, you will be sent an email with your scheduled appointments. After that you will receive reminders for each of your appointments.
All appointments, whether they are in person or telehealth, receive three appointment reminders.
- 3 days before: An SMS asking you to confirm attendance.
- 2 days before: An email reminder. This is when you let the team know to cancel or change your appointment.
- 1 day before: A final email reminder with the telehealth link included.
Yes. When you first book an appointment, you will be sent an introduction email that includes your appointment schedule, and a link to complete an intake form. Please complete that form before you arrive.
Please see the following link for details – Fees
(Please note these fees are subject to change at any time)
All fees are paid at the beginning of the appointment. You can pay by EFTPOS or cash. For telehealth appointments, payment is made by direct deposit or EFTPOS.
Medicare offers eligible clients a rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year for individual therapy only (these rebates do not apply to relationship therapy or adult assessments).
To get this rebate, you need a referral letter from your GP before your first appointment. (GPs – please see the note regarding referrals for psychology). The referral letter must be clear enough to read and received by the day of your first appointment. (Medicare will not offer a rebate for appointments completed before the date on the referral letter).
We will process the Medicare rebate for you. You won’t need to do anything else once you have submitted your referral letter.
For relationship therapy or adult assessments, please check with your health insurance provider if your policy covers the type of psychological therapy you are seeking.
Appointments must be cancelled with at least 24hrs notice.
- Late cancellations – $155.
- No shows/less than 12hrs notice – full session fee.
Cancellation fees must be paid within 48hrs, before you can book your next appointment. Any future pre-booked appointments may be offered to other clients if payment is not received.
Please note that Medicare does not offer a rebate for cancellation fees.
Yes. I offer a comprehensive assessment process that will answer the questions ‘Do I have ADHD?’, and ‘Am I Autistic?’.
Diagnosis takes a long time and requires access to many different screening and diagnostic tools. The cost includes access to those tools, 4-6 hours of interview time directly with you (this is split over two days), several hours of my time reviewing the results from all the tests and interviews, time spent writing a summary report, and a 50 min feedback session with you.
No. At this stage only a psychiatrist and some GP’s can prescribe medication. As a Clinical Psychologist I can diagnose ADHD and differentiate it from other potential diagnosis that may appear very similar to ADHD, or be acting alongside it, such as PTSD.
Better Together Psychology is not a crisis support service and does not offer after hours support. Support is only available during clinic hours in scheduled appointments.
